Help us collect gloves and socks for community members in need this cold, snowy winter.
Local community organizations and businesses are hosting collection boxes at their locations for donations of gently-used winter gloves and socks.
Collected items will be given to The Action Center. A portion of children’s items will be given to participating schools with Kindness Closets, a resource for students and their families.
No time to pick up new items or don't have gently-used items to give? You can contribute money online that will be used to bulk purchase gloves and socks.
This winter has been colder with more snow than the last two decades and the need for gloves and socks is greater for community members who are less resourced.
Since the end of October, when our weather got cold, The Action’s Center distributed clothing and winter gear to 2,964 households and 8,382 individuals who are unhoused or grappling with housing and food insecurity.
