Jeffco Kids First (JKF) and Gays Against Groomers (GAG) plan to show up for their rescheduled efforts ask the Jeffco Public School Board to revise Code JB-R “to protect our kids” at the April 11 school board meeting.
Apparently the two groups also plan to gather for a rally an hour before the school board meeting. The intention of these two groups is to weaken protections for transgender students, not protect them.
In 2013, Jeffco Public School Board adopted Code JB-R Equal Education Opportunities - Transgender Students to support and protect transgender students. Let’s support our transgender students by asking the school board to keep Code JB-R as is, or make it even better.

A flyer packed with false claims called Lakewood citizens to an emergency meeting about migrants on Tuesday, despite organizers not having secured the venue.
LAKEWOOD, Colo — Migrants from Denver will not be housed in Lakewood, leaders from both cities say, but that isn’t dissuading a group opposed to the idea from claiming otherwise and rallying residents to an “emergency citizens’ town hall.”

They demanded a stop to bussing/housing migrants into the community, which was NOT happening. Supportive community members turned out in slightly higher numbers to call out the effort during public comments. Adam Paul, City and County of Denver, verified that there is no agreement about housing immigrants in Wheat Ridge. (15:27) Public comments followed. WATCH THE VIDEO
This was a county-wide event at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center based around stopping Denver from housing Venezuelan refugees in Jeffco. At one point, there were chants of "build the wall". Attendees were encouraged to organize and show up at their next city council meeting to demand a stop to "bussing migrants into our communities", which was not happening. There were people from all over Jeffco there and the meeting was moderated by a member of the Wheat Ridge Business Association.
